Jeli is looking for a Sales Account Executive to join our growing team. This is your opportunity to join a product/research driven company with deep customer empathy at its core. You will have an influential role in the company and help us build for scale, maintain and grow customer relationships, and bring on new customers.

We are in the early stages of development and recognize that many things will change as we progress; we’re looking for someone that is comfortable in a fast paced, adaptive environment. This may mean you’ll be customer focused one day and operations focused the next.  We work collaboratively to get the job done right. As one of Jeli’s earliest hires, you’ll get to work on a wide array of exciting projects, learn, and contribute to the success of Jeli.

We are a remote-first team, with employees currently residing in San Francisco, Portland, Washington, Atlanta, Colorado, and several other metro areas. This brings flexibility to your role, but requires a high level of communication to be successful.

What you’ll do here

  • Bring on new customers, create pipeline and manage relationships
  • Win more customers by understanding the needs of inbound prospects and strategically outbounding to acquire key enterprise logos. 
  • Become an authority on Jeli’s products and conduct discovery calls, presentations, and demos with prospects and customers.
  • Formulate, operationalize, and execute a sales strategy, resulting in revenue growth and new customer acquisition.
  • Strategically research, call, and email companies in our target persona to acquire more customers and build a strong sales opportunity pipeline.
  • Conduct Proof of Value technical validation engagements with customers to validate our product and tie it back to customer value.
  • Deliver a compelling value proposition to prospects that reflect our company identity.
  • Work closely with solutions engineering to ensure critical customer renewals and expansion. 


Work cross functionally

  • Collaborate across Jeli teams including solutions engineering, engineering, and product to close business and ensure successful customer launches.
  • Partner with marketing to increase awareness of Jeli products and provide immediate campaign feedback and input on future campaign strategy.
  • Work to tell and deliver our customers’ success stories to the broader world.
  • Communicate customer needs and industry patterns back to the Jeli product team to influence our technical roadmap.
  • Assist solutions engineering in identifying and scoping necessary client support materials (supplementary onboarding documents, training videos, tool tips, newsletters).
  • Understand the upcoming product release schedule so that you are prepared to incorporate new product developments into your sales strategy.


Help build a scalable and repeatable sales model

  • Work with sales and solutions engineering  to create succinct pitches that allow prospects to understand the value of Jeli.
  • As the second sales hire, we’ll need your help ensuring that our sales model is scalable, repeatable, and easy to put in playbooks for future sales enablement.
  • Ensure that CRM tools are accurate and up to date with pipeline and renewals.
  • Work with Leadership team to continuously tweak and test our pricing model based upon feedback.


Who you are

  • Strong technical sales aptitude demonstrated through a combination of industry experience and complexity of deals closed.
  • 3+ years experience in a closing role at a SaaS company with top performance.
  • A tenacious, driven individual with superb energy, passion and initiative for new business acquisition.
  • Knowledge of or experience with using value-selling/consultative methodologies, playbooks, and processes (MEDDICC, SPIN, Miller Heiman, Challenger, Gap Selling, etc.).
  • You are coachable: You become a master of your craft and immerse yourself in the industry.
  • You are emotionally intelligent: You can read the room and communicate with impact.
  • You think strategically about your role and your ability to help customers and Jeli succeed. 
  • You put the needs of the customer first. We are looking for someone that is customer-centric.
  • You are humble and eager to learn. You socialize lessons learned when mistakes are made.
  • You collaborate well with your peers, and are ultimately comfortable making important calls when a decision needs to be made.
